RB James Conner was named the Steelers' 2019 Ed Block Courage Award recipient. Conner, the team's 105th draft pick in 2017, battled leukemia at Pitt before being declared cancer free in May 2016. The award honors one player from each NFL team annually and is chosen through a team vote. The award recognizes a player's on-and-off field extra efforts along with their ability to overcome great adversity.

This week there are many quality options in Eliminator Challenge. Eight teams have have at least a 75% chance to win this week according to FPI, by far the most of any week this season. The Steelers (90% vs the MIA) and Vikings (92% vs WAS) are by far the two best options. The Steelers don't have another week where FPI rates them as a top-7 pick, so this is the best week to use them. The Vikings are also a great option, but they could also make sense in week 11 (vs DEN). - Mackenzie Kraemer

Steelers WR and Long Beach native JuJu Smith-Schuster was just as surprised as everyone else when Renegade came over the loudspeakers Sunday night in LA. Even if it turned into Rick Astley, it still fired up the Steelers. "I mean, that was very interesting," he said. "We were all very shocked by it. It was like wow, I guess it is a home game, right? "But that right there, just gives us all momentum on defense and it strikes us to just go out there and get a W."
