WR Jeffery, RT Johnson injured in Eagles' win

The Eagles face the prospect of being down two of their top offensive players amid their playoff push after receiver Alshon Jeffery and right tackle Lane Johnson departed Monday night's game with injuries.

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz sprang to life at the last possible moment, and saved a season on the verge of plummeting into the abyss. He orchestrated a pair of second-half touchdown drives to erase a 14-point halftime deficit, and then found tight end Zach Ertz in the back of the end zone in overtime to lift Philadelphia over the New York Giants, 23-17 on Monday night. With the win, the Eagles (6-7) pull into a first-place tie with the Dallas Cowboys (6-7), with a rematch between the two clubs slated for Week 16 in Philadelphia. The Eagles have a 35% chance to win the NFC East, according to ESPN's Football Power Index.

The Eagles had a look of a team that's crumbling in the first half, which ended with the 2-10 Giants up 17-3. They allowed Eli Manning, fresh off the bench, to throw for 179 yards and 2 TDs, while mustering just 116 yards of their own on offense. Lane Johnson and Alshon Jeffery left with injuries. They're not only decimated by injury, but Philadelphia is playing flat in a division game that it needs.
