Sherman, Jenkins join Payton Award nominees

Veteran defensive backs and team leaders Richard Sherman of the 49ers and Malcolm Jenkins of the Eagles are among the 32 nominees for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.

The Chargers rolled in the first half, jumping out to a 24-3 over the Jaguars. Austin Ekeler and Melvin Gordon combined for 127 rushing yards in the first half. Fullback Derek Watt scored his first career NFL touchdown and first rushing TD since high school. The Chargers also get the ball to start second half.
