A late-season roster surprise: Cardinals are releasing veteran pass-rusher Terrell Suggs today, per source. The 37-year-old Suggs now will go on waivers. It's also uncertain whether the seven-time Pro-Bowl OLB will want to continue playing. But he will be on waivers till Monday.

Kliff Kingsbury said the conversations about releasing Terrell Suggs were mutual. Kingsbury said it was the best move for both parties. It gives the Cardinals an opportunity to play more you get guys and gives Suggs a chance to find a new team.

Kingsbury: Mayfield relationship 'in a good place'

Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury says past differences in college with QB Baker Mayfield, who transferred from Texas Tech to Oklahoma, have since been mended and "we're in a good place now."

The Cardinals dropped to 3-9-1 with a 23-17 loss to the Pittsburg Steelers on Sunday after Arizona's defense struggled drive in and drive out. Arizona's offense looked better than it did last week, while working David Johnson back into the rotation. But, ultimately, the Cardinals' defense allowed a third-string quarterback to march up and down the field throughout the game.

After starting as slow as it has all season, the Cardinals' offense found some life in the final moments of the first quarter and into the second quarter to score 10 unanswered to tie the game at 10 but they trail 13-10 at halftime. The offense in the second quarter couldn't have looked more different than that in the first half. But coach Kliff Kingsbury started getting running backs David Johnson and Chase Edmonds involved more and the ball started moving.

I asked Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury today if he was surprised by Josh Shaw's suspension for gambling on NFL games, which was announced on Friday. His answer: “I don't know anything about it, honestly. So, I saw the headline but I don't know what he's done or accused of or anything so I don't know what I would be surprised about. I have no clue with any of that, like I said. I've had zero discussions about him or the league, or anything.”
