The Rays, already a very left-handed team, get even more so by agreeing with Yoshitomo Tsutsugo to a two-year, $12M deal, as @TBTimes_Rays said. Tsutsugo had big exit-velo numbers in Japan and joins Meadows, Kiermaier, Lowe, Lowe, Choi and Wendle among TB's left-handed bats.

Padres get Pham, Cronenworth in trade with Rays

The Padres have acquired outfielder Tommy Pham and two-way prospect Jake Cronenworth from the Tampa Bay Rays for outfielder Hunter Renfroe and touted 2B prospect Xavier Edwards.

The deal sending Tommy Pham from the Tampa Bay Rays to the San Diego Padres is done, sources tell ESPN. Outfielder Hunter Renfroe and middle-infield prospect Xavier Edwards head back to the Rays. Padres will get another minor leaguer.
