EMMITSBURG, Md. -- Romone Saunders drove the length of the court in the final five seconds and scored at the hoop as time ran out to give Wagner a 58-56 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday.
Vado Morse hit a 3-pointer to tie the game before Saunders escaped a double team on the inbounds and raced down the court for the winning points.
Saunders finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Saunders, the Seahawks' leading scorer for the season at 17 points per game, shot only 14 percent in the game (2 of 14).
