SOURCE: Indiana is expected to hire Fresno State offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer as its new offensive coordinator. An announcement is expected soon but DeBoer will replace Mike DeBord, who retired last month. DeBoer also has been a coordinator at Eastern Michigan and Southern Illinois. This is a very good hire by IU coach Tom Allen.

SOURCE: Indiana offensive coordinator Mike DeBord is retiring. DeBord informed coach Tom Allen following the Christmas holiday, and the team has been told of DeBord's decision. An official announcement is expected Monday. DeBord spent the past two seasons at Indiana after joining the staff from Tennessee, where he served as offensive coordinator.

Indiana has promoted linebackers coach Kane Wommack to defensive coordinator, a role previously held by head coach Tom Allen. Wommack had been the youngest FBS defensive coordinator at South Alabama before joining Indiana's staff this season. Wommack is the son of longtime college coach Dave Wommack. "I will still be heavily involved, but Kane will take over the play-calling responsibilities, the organization of our defensive staff and all that we do on that side of the ball," Allen said in a news release.

Indiana adds quarterback Jack Tuttle, a transfer from Utah. Tuttle was a decorated recruit from Southern California who didn't suit up for Utah this season. His eligibility situation is still to be determined and he could play next fall. His father, Jay, was a kicker for Indiana. "He is extremely talented and brings a huge skillset to our quarterback room," Hoosiers coach Tom Allen said in a news release. "We look forward to his arrival on campus next semester and his development as a Hoosier."
