What we learned from Saturday's spring football games

Georgia and Oregon, two programs with high expectations, were among the teams hitting the field Saturday for the last big weekend of spring football games. Here's what we saw.

ESPN Stats and Information

Oklahoma State RB Justice Hill ran the fastest 40-time of the day at 4.40 seconds and then had the highest vertical jump of the day at 40 inches. The only RB at the Combine since 2006 to have a 40-time that fast and a vertical jump that high was Saquon Barkley (4.40 & 41 inches) in 2018.

Oklahoma State's Justice Hill ran the fastest time, putting up a 4.40, with Temple's Ryquell Armstead (4.45), Florida's Jordan Scarlett (4.47) and Ohio State's Mike Weber (4.47) following Hill. Top-ranked running back Josh Jacobs has a groin injury and did not compete in on-field workouts, but his former Alabama teammate Damien Harris ran a 4.57 in the 40.

Texas A&M has quickly filled its offensive line coach vacancy by hiring Josh Henson from Oklahoma State's staff, according to a source. Henson and Jimbo Fisher crossed paths at LSU in the mid-2000s. Henson replaces Jim Turner, who left to join Zac Taylor's staff with the Cincinnati Bengals.
